SHARKHIDE protectant is a thin, protective
barrier between the aluminium and the water. Many tests in
the USA show that after SHARKHIDE has been applied to the
hull of a new boat, then that hull will remain looking extra
good for up to 2 years with very little maintanence.
SHARKHIDE has been applied to every new Pontoon
boat out of our factory since early 2005.
SHARKHIDE is available in 1 litre cans for
use on your own boat. 1 litre of SHARKHIDE, if used as directed,
will easily cover the alloy surface on one of our pontoon
boats.

Physical Properties....
SHARKHIDE is easy to apply...the surface
to be coated must be thoroughly cleaned to remove any oily
residue. SHARKHIDE requires no special Primers to adhere to
aluminum. Once applied, it WILL NOT yellow, chip, peel or
flake. SHARKHIDE dries to the touch in just seconds, and will
remain flexible for years.
Application may be made by dip,
brush, soft cloth, or wet spray. Allow 36 to 72 hours for
the first coat to cure before applying a second coat.
Furthermore,........ Sharkhide helps prevent the buildup of marine life below the water's surface. Marine growth attaches itself to your aluminum as it does with most any surface.
When correctly applied, Sharkhide fills in the microscopic pits all manufactured aluminum contains.
By so doing, marine life has less to grab hold of.
One coat of Sharkhide Protectant is enough to prevent oxidation, and tests have show that applying three coats of the Protectant nearly completely seals the "divots" creating an ultra smooth surface.
While marine life will still grow on your hull despite the protective coatings of Sharkhide, removing the marine life becomes much, much easier. Some cases have been reported that the marine life can be removed, "with the wipe of a finger". Now that's results!
SHARKHIDE prevents oxidation after acid cleaning.
When cleaning with acid cleaners you open the surface of the
metal to oxidation within days. SHARKHIDE forms a new crystal
clear skin that will prevent the return of oxidation and staining
for many years.

We also stock aluminium hull cleaner. This
is a highly concentrated premium grade formulation providing
the ultimate in the cleaning and brightening of Aluminium
and Stainless Steel surfaces. This formula quickly removes
stains and oxidation and rinses freely away leaving a clean,
bright, lustrous surface that lasts much longer. This product
can be applied through high pressure, warm water washers as
well as plastic pump type garden sprayers.
SHARKHIDE Aluminium Cleaner is
BIODEGRADEABLE AND NON-FLAMMABLE.
Process for cleaning used boats.
First remove any built up moss or algae
with a high pressure washer or car wash. Once this has been
done, mix the desired strength cleaner in a plastic garden
sprayer. For severely discolored aluminum, Sharkhide Aluminum
Cleaner can be mixed as strong as one part water to one part
cleaner. Be aware that mixed at this strength it will etch
the aluminum very quickly and leave it a uniform off-white
color. For aluminum that is only slightly stained or discolored,
Sharkhide aluminum cleaner can be diluted as much as fifty
parts water to one part cleaner. If this mixture does not
yield the desired results, keep adding more cleaner to the
mixture until it reaches the strength you desire. Spray Sharkhide
Aluminum Cleaner on from the bottom up. Once applied, it will
begin to foam up. Allow this foam to work for a few minutes.
Once the foam starts to decrease and run off, rinse from the
top down with clean water. Go around the boat and repeat this
process until the hull is a uniform color. Don’t allow
Sharkhide Aluminum Cleaner to dry.
Not recommended on some painted surfaces or plastics
